before & after

We did a few painting projects over the weekend and we are really thrilled with how they turned out! We used Annie Sloan chalk paint for both pieces and LOVED the product! I can't say enough good things about this paint.  Its easy to use, you don't have to prime or sand anything down and it dries suuuuper fast! We were both very impressed with it!  For the dresser/tv stand, we only used one coat of paint, then waxed it with Annie Sloan wax. After the wax was dry, we used some sand paper on the edges to make it look a little rustic.  The whole point of the paint is to make your stuff look "perfectly imperfect."  We love how they both turned out!  Next project: painting two bookshelves in the girls' playroom a beautiful coral color - can't wait!

We used two coats of paint for the table since it started as such a dark color.  Doesn't it completely change the look of the table?
