updates!

Where do I begin?! I have so much to share, and unfortunately, there are no pictures to go along with the words because they are all on Zachs computer at work!

First, I am going to start with Paisleys birthday on Sunday. She turned TWO! We had such a fun time celebrating her. We had a small little party for her on Sunday with our immediate family and a few friends. What a difference a year makes! On her first birthday, she didnt walk, cried when we sang Happy Birthday, didn't touch her cake, said a few words and wasn't too into opening presents. This year, Paisley LOVED being sung to, LOVED the cake, LOVED the presents, talks up a storm and runs everywhere! I think I say this all.the.time, but I love each new stage that she goes through (minus the tantrums, the "NO's", and the 2-year molars...but we won't even get into that:) I love that I can have a conversation with her, love her bubbly personality, love that she loves people, and the list goes on. Even though she is still teeny tiny, her personality is so BIG! She is full of words and talks up a storm, but just recently she finds it hilarious to make up words. Right after her birthday party, I was asking her to name everyone that was there (which she easily could have since she knows them all very well) and she said "Neeny, Noonoo, Juju, and Jiji" and then belly laughed like it was the funniest thing she had ever said! Today we had her 2-year well child check up and lets just say that the poor nurses and doctor got an earful from her. She screamed bloody murder. She wanted nothing to do with them, even when all they wanted to do was check her ears, check her height, check her weight...she thought it was awful! She has only been to her doctor a couple times, because she has never been sick (Praise the Lord she has only had colds!) so she is not familiar at all with the doctors office. I am going to buy a doctor kit for her so that we can "practice" being doctors/patients so that next time isn't so traumatic for her...and me!:) My little peanut weighed 22pounds 11ounces (below 5th%) and she was 2feet 8inches (5-10th%).

Secondly, last Friday the 24th, we found out we are having another GIRL!! I am so excited! I do have to say that I was SHOCKED. I am still shocked, actually. I was so convinced that I was having a boy that it has actually taken me a little bit to get used to the fact that she is a girl!!! I couldn't be more excited, though. Having two girls will be so fabulous. I have had a VERY different pregnancy with this little girl. It has been so easy..I've only been nauseous maybe 2-3 times, and it lasted only a few minutes. I have had no problems with smells or food. Nothing! With Paisley, I got sick a lot in my first trimester and was soooo sensitive to smell.. I couldn't even have caffeine without being miserable, so I stayed away from it my whole first trimester. All of these differences, and the fact that I am carrying this baby differently, led me to believe that I was having a boy.. Oh, and the fact that at my first ultrasound (12-13ish weeks) the doctor said he might have seen "a little somethin somethin there" if ya know what I mean! So, hello...if that doesn't convince you that you are having a boy, I don't know what will! Anyway, there is NO doubt she is a girl.. we saw her from every angle and she is all girl. A beautiful, perfect baby girl! I do have to say that after the shock wore off a few seconds later, I felt this HUGE sense of peace. I instantly felt so prepared and ready for this sweet little girl to come. I have everything I need already! It's a pretty great feeling!

Third, there are a lot of great changes going on with Zachs work and he is still loving and learning so much at his job. This week (maybe next) is his last week working in the Auburn office and he will be working from home! We are really excited for this new change. His bosses are so great to him and really appreciate him. They even mentioned that now that he will be from home, he will be able to help me with the baby once she arrives! Isn't that really generous and thoughtful? Our lease is up soon, and we have been looking for a new place with 3 bedrooms...but now, more than ever, we would love to get something bigger to accommodate him working from here! We are trusting that God has the perfect place for us out there!

Fourth, I am almost 19 weeks pregnant and as I mentioned above, I am still feeling great. I have already started getting braxton hicks (I got them early with Paisley, too) but the doctor isn't concerned about it at all because I am drinking plenty of fluids and taking care of myself. They have actually died down a lot lately, which has been nice. I definitely started showing a lot earlier this time around and have felt the baby move a lot earlier this time around too! I forgot what an amazing feeling it is to feel the baby move! Zach and I have already felt her move a ton just by touching the outside of my stomach. I LOVE it, it never gets old!

All is well in the Ennis household and life is so full. We are so thankful!
